Heat-Related Illness

The Centers for Disease Control’s Heat-Related Illness course shows how to recognize, prevent and treat heat related illness among athletes. Although most incidences reported in the media involve high school football players, athletes of various sports activities and ages can be susceptible.

The content in this course primarily concentrates on high school athletes, but it can be adapted to address athletes of all ages and activities, such as high school soccer players, little league players (ages 6-13) and college-level athletes.
