NCYS Welcomes New Officers to Lead Youth Sports into the Future

Suwanee, GA, January 22, 2025 – The National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS) proudly announces its new officers. Their leadership will enhance the organization’s mission of promoting safe, inclusive, and positive youth sports experiences nationwide.

  • Ann Kitt-Carpenetti, Chair: With over 20 years in youth sports leadership, Ann brings a wealth of experience in safety, governance, and wellness initiatives. A former VP at USA Lacrosse, Ann managed U.S. National Teams and spearheaded health and safety initiatives through the Center for Sport Science. Her extensive governance experience includes roles with USA Field Hockey and World Lacrosse.
  • Jack Crowe: Founder of the CoachSafely Foundation and legendary college football coach, Jack is a youth sports injury prevention and education pioneer. His foundation has transformed into a leading policy, research, and education organization, advocating for higher youth sports safety and injury prevention standards.
  • Dr. Gil Fried: A renowned sports law and risk management expert with over 30 years of experience, Gil is a sports management professor and Associate Dean at the University of West Florida. As a legal expert and accomplished author of 13 books, he has been pivotal in advancing safety standards and protecting participants in sports facilities nationwide.
  • Adam Andrasko: As CEO of USA Artistic Swimming, Adam brings over a decade of experience with National Governing Bodies and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Under his leadership, USA Artistic Swimming recently earned a Silver medal in the Paris Olympics, showcasing his commitment to excellence in youth and high-performance sports.

Moss. “Their vision and leadership will guide us in ensuring that sports remain a safe and enriching part of every young person’s life. I’m grateful for their commitment and service.”

NCYS is thrilled about the vision, expertise, and dedication the new officers bring. Their leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing NCYS’s mission to enhance the youth sports experience and promote safety, inclusivity, and excellence across all levels. The newly elected Officers will collaborate closely with the current Board of Directors to guide NCYS:

Together, this exceptional leadership team will continue to ensure NCYS fulfills its mission of creating safer, more inclusive, and impactful youth sports experiences for all.
